The Capuchin Soup Kitchen is a soup kitchen in downtown Detroit. They have been serving people for over 74 years. Not only do they make and serve food, they have gardens in which they make their food, sell clothing for all ages, and provide a business center for jobless people looking for work.
During our volunteer time, we shelved clothes and helped customers look around, bagged apples and carrots for the kitchen, and dined with some of the locals. It was a great experience and we loved helping out.
